Why we live in Colorado

Awhile back I received an email from a Floridian titled "Why we live in Florida." In this email were several videos of the horrors of snow and ice in the lives of busy people. This post is in response to that email :). We live in Colorado because it's FUN!

First though I do want to recognize that it IS still WORK before fun.

Edward is putting on new snow tires for the ride to fire fellowship. He rode home from work on his regular snow tires. Now he is replacing those with a more beasty tire for a scientific experiment. The experiment being which tire performs the best - all of this in search of the perfect "snow bike"! The verdict was by far the beasty tire, which remains on the bike for the rest of the snowy season.

Ethan is in the backyard building barricades for a snowball fight. He already constructed igloo caves for the girls.

His favorite thing though is to eat freshly fallen snow. That "glow" by the way I just realized is the reflectors on his new boots! He lights up like a stormtrooper when we ride bikes at night.

Teresa in the cave Ethan helped her build.

Elayne in her special "Ethan" cave.

Our house all lit up for Christmas!!

I love the snow caves. We built a lot of caves in MN, when I was a kid!
