Revelation

The sermon during Christmas eve worship was perfect! It reminded us of the truth - Christ came in the flesh to identify completely with His creation. He came in the flesh to allow us to see and imitate our King. The creator of the universe, humbled Himself, was born of a woman, as a baby, to show His love for us. Are you getting this?!?! It's AMAZING! How can we be reminded and go on like nothing's changed? We (my family) can't! We have been given dozens of revelations from God and every one that we have recognized as such, we have acted on. When God revealed His presence to us here at Holy Trinity - we moved to Fort Collins to be where God was. When God revealed our debt and burden - we took steps and changed our lives to get out (with MUCH help and love from the brethren that gave us housing in their basements without charge). When the Lord wanted more of us - we gave Him more space in our time, in our minds, in our hearts, in our lives.

But...

Have we truly seen the incarnation as revelation and acted as such? It is so commercialized, trivialized, materialized in our culture. We say the goal of our life is to worship God and to love as He loves and to live and walk according to His ways - does our life SHOW that? Would our neighbors tell you that's what we live for if you asked them? Would our families? These are all the things that we are pondering as we end the year 2008. We want the answers to be a resounding YES! To all that God would lead us into.

To be continued...
