Thanksgiving Day Blessings

Thanksgiving

We were so blessed this year to be able to celebrate thanksgiving with our beloved brethren. It is GOOD to give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! We thank you Lord for all you are and all you have given to us!

How good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

We began our time together in praise and thanksgiving to our Lord. This has been on my heart for years, and the Lord is good and has made a way for us! Praise You who are the author of life. Praise you for Your work in bringing Your people into unity that we can dwell together!

The food spread. Meredith talked me into making TWO turkeys. We didn't even carve into the second one! There was still enough left on the one we did carve to serve another large family or two. That's okay though, we have PLENTY of leftover for the next month. Mer - you can come have turkey any time you want.

Here are our budding Young Servants of the Cross getting some serving time in. They set up all of the chairs and then went outside with Uncle Edward for a playground version of follow-the-leader in obstacle course style.

Here are a couple of candid pics of people eating. My photo skills were not up to par this day, so I apologize in advance for any poor photos. But this will give you a flavor of the day anyway. :)

This is another blurry shot, but it was priceless, so I included it anyway. Elayne really liked the pie, or was it the whipped cream? Anyway, it was "plate-lickin' good!"

There were also games. Here is a game of Twister going.

After all was cleaned up, we went home and continued an 8-year tradition of Grand Marnier and stoggies with Andrew! Very nice. The kids watched Star Wars and we had a nice time sharing, sipping, and smoking. This year we got to be cozy and warm in the garage! BONUS!

Happy Thanksgiving!
