All Saint's Party

Once again, our fellowship hosted a party to honor our favorite saints and bible characters. The kids choose someone that they look up to and would like to emulate.

This year, Ethan chose a Scottish saint, Saint Kentegern. He founded Churches across the British Isles and converted the Picts to Christianity. He then became a Bishop in his home town of Gasglow. He looks smashing in his kilt!

Teresa was, again, Saint Teresa of Avila, her namesake. She adores this woman and is always talking about how she wants to be like her. Teresa was a kind, caring woman who loved to serve others and had an on fire love for Jesus. She was never afraid to stand up for what she believed in or what she thought the Lord was asking her to do.

Elayne was Saint Elizabeth of Russia. This woman was an English Duchess, the granddaughter of Queen Victoria. She married a Russian Duke. He was killed and she started a convent and became a nun. She sold all of her vast wealth and started an orphanage and home for the poor. In 1918 the communist government exiled her and had her killed. Elayne really likes her outfit :)

Here is the icon of Saint Elizabeth.

All three together.

Saint George ...

...with his Dragon. All worthy knights got to swing at him.

He was finally beheaded by the mighty Saint Jerome? Strange, he was always protecting animals. Oh well, all saints have their moments I guess.

Ethan, er...I mean Saint Kentigern got a better shot at the dragon's ball of fire!

Everyone had a wonderful time!
