Pumpkin Carving

Well, we finally did it! We carved pumpkins. I was a bit ashamed, because the girls had NEVER done it! Tsk-tsk.

Jeanne was gracious enough to take us with her to her "farm share" and let us have 3 of her 6 pumpkins! It was a huge favor to her, what would she have done with SIX?

They each picked out HUMONGOUS pumpkins, which left me with loads of seeds! YUM! My favorite part!

We only had one set of tools, so they had to take turns. Teresa was first. What do you think she carved on her pumpkin?

If you know her at all, you guessed it!
A horse of course :)

Then it was miss Elayne's turn. She did so good! She actually carved this whole thing all by herself. She refused many offers for help.

Hers was a princess castle!

Finally, Ethan got a turn. It took him two days! He picked an expert level 3 pattern of a dragon (also a big surprise, teehee). Edward helped him a tiny bit, but only at the end.

Now they have all experienced the carving of a pumpkin!
