Elayne's 6-year-old Celebration!
Elayne turned 6 years old on July 22nd. We had her party celebration today. There were many people we love there to celebrate with us (and there are many more that wish they could have been here!)
Here are some of those that joined us...

Here are some of those that joined us...
Bob and Lisa PetersonGrandma Monica
(Elayne and Lily in the back)
David and Elaine Giesler - Elaine's birthday was also on July 22nd!
(Yana behind them)
Others were present, but more elusive than these :)
This little cutie is Keana with her daddy Anthony. We finally got to meet Diana (Keana's mommy), but she must be camera shy, because I missed her!
Lily taking her turn loving on miss Keana.
There was a bit of rain, but that didn't stop our dedicated BBQ crew! They came through with yummy hamburgers - courtesy of the Vigil's!After dinner, we had cake - it was my first attempt at ice cream cake!
Not bad!

Next we had a pinata. Ethan decided to make a pinata (all on his own) because (as you may have read from the previous post) Adam didn't get a turn at Music Camp. So Elayne got to go first and then Adam. Thanks Ethan, that was so thoughtful!!
So here goes...
Elayne
Adam
Ethan (he made it, so we thought he should go next)
Yana (she and Jadon didn't go to Music camp, so they didn't get a turn there either, so now is their chance!)
Jadon
Teresa
LilyStill no luck - How about Bryan?!
Yup, he got it good! After clean-up, a game of ultimate frisbee broke out among the more athletic types.

Elayne and Lily prefer more quiet play.

When we were just about to leave, the kids were dolling out their candy and a Starburst-opening contest broke out! Who can open their candy first - using ONLY teeth and tongue? No hands!!

So sorry Grace and I missed all of the fun! Adam was so encouraged that Ethan went to all of the work of making the pinata. So sweet! Lily had a great time playing with Elayne.
Love to you all and especially the birthday girl.
Sarah
