Yesterday I noticed that I was short tempered. I recognized my old "task" mode and saw that I had turned away from joy. I stopped, gave everyone a break and went to be with the Lord. I confessed to Him my struggle and asked Him to intervene. It was slow, but I persisted and continued to press in. Soon I was able to lighten up and began again to enjoy teaching and being with my children.
In the afternoon we went to take our turn at cleaning the prayer house - what a true blessing! Teresa and I cleaned the inside while Edward and Ethan worked on the leaves in the yard (Elayne had stayed with Jeanne and Tatianna). Teresa turned on music and the two of us began to praise and dance and enjoy each other while we worked. I was able to offer our service to God and the brethren having FUN with my daughter - cleaning together.
The Lord is truly GOOD!

Tonja,
Thanks for sharing your blog with me! And thanks for coming over today. It was good to talk with you and Edward and fun to watch Grace interact with your kids.
Love,
Sarah
How funny, it was 45' and windy out here in Ferndale Arkansas yesterday while I was shredding my hands to bits while cleaning out my church's gutters. Guess what, working for Him aims your focus elsewhere. I didn't feel the wind, the cool air or the scrapes. Just The Three.
Anyway, link to my blog on "Blogger" called "Rough Edges."
Who woulda' thunk this back in High School?
I will pray thanks for you and your family (as well as our salvation) tonight.
Peace to my PEEPS!
Cliff
Tonja,
You are such an inspiration for all. Most of us need to be as open as you are-yet because of our pride we fail. God is (I’m sure, he didn’t tell me this) very happy with your faith and humility and how you love him.
I love seeing the kids, I'm not sure about the leaves-my everything hurts, we don't have the support staff worked 6 hours yesterday and still have about 1/2 to go. Keep us in the blog. we love all of you so very much.
