Wendel's Visit

Dad, Pat, and Samara came for a very short but enjoyable visit.

We hiked the "A" trail around Horsetooth.  It is the trail that leads to the top of the "A" that is on the side of the foothills that stands for the "Aggies" that CSU used to be.  Who knows why they keep it as an "A"? Not I!

Edward rode his bike because hiking really seems to hurt his back still.
Speaking of his back...we had an appointment in Denver for Edward's yearly followup for his surgery.  It is right down the street from a restaurant that we went to when I was a kid.  We all went there together.  The food is not the greatest, but the atmosphere is very fun!  It is made to appear as if you are outside at night.  They have skits and cliff diving while you eat.
Here is a picture of the pool they dive into.

Here is a video of a backwards dive.
(Something about the video isn't working.  I will try it later!)

We then went to visit my Uncle George and Aunt Pam.  My cousin Andrea and her husband Mike came over too.  I had not seen them in over 15 years!  George has a Prowler that he let me take all of the kids for rides in.  It had to be one at a time though!

Here is the whole gang!  George and Pam gave the kids each little toy Prowlers.  Elayne got two!
Here is Andrea.  Has hardly changed at all!  It was great to see them.
We also took everyone to the archery range to shoot. I will try to load those pictures later.  It was a fantastic visit...though much too short!
