Teresa turns 8 years old!

On February 1st, our sweet miss Teresa was 8 years old. It is hard to believe that it was that long ago that she was born in the Peterson's basement - 12 days LATE!

I give thanks to our Lord for her sweet and generous heart. Teresa is always ready and willing to give of her time, her things, and her life for the good of others. She is a very hard worker. She loves to clean and organize - so much so, that when she finds herself with nothing to do she will come ask, "Can I organize the tupperware cabinet?" or "Can I arrange the shoe closet?" and many other such jobs. She LOVES to help Elayne with her school work and enjoys making pictures and other crafts for all of her family and friends. She is a true blessing to us all.

She is growing in her love for the Lord and in her desire to be more grown-up (which translates into less whining and complaining).

On the Friday before her birthday, she decorated her cake - all by herself. She mixed the frosting ingredients (Mom colored it for her), spread it on the cake and arranged the horses. She then wrote all the words herself.

That evening we went over to the Penrod's to celebrate. We made her choice for dinner; Lasagna and Laurel's mandarin orange and almond salad. Teresa insisted that Laurel make the salad because, "It doesn't taste as good when you make it, Mom!" Which is absolutely true!

Then we had cake - I forgot the ice cream at home!!

Then she opened presents. Here is Aunt Laurel with her girls.

Here is Uncle Drew with the boys. Joshua and Ethan are playing some kind of foot game.

Here is our birthday girl buried in all of her lavishings.

What a big girl she is becoming - getting her very own adult bible! She LOVES this bible and reads it every day. She is reading The Gospel of Luke, one chapter each day.
